Gear Review: The North Face Hedgehog GTX XCR
Disclosure: I purchased and paid for these shoes myself. I have no relationship with The North Face. Links marked with (eBay⇒) or (Amazon⇒) are affiliate links. According to The North Face, its Hedgehog GTX XCR trainers have been “designed with the needs of speed hikers and multisport athletes in mind”.
What this means to you and me is that the Hedgehogs are:
- Waterproof
- Very comfortable and supportive for long periods of time
- Suitable for use on uneven surfaces, with a grippy sole
- Lightweight
As you might have guessed, I purchased a pair of Hedgehogs earlier this year and have been very pleased with them. Trendy jargon aside, they are comfortable, supportive and keep your feet dry. I tend to use them for urban walking rather than off road, but I can imagine that they would be good (within reason) off-road, too.
Overall, highly recommended.
