Useful Book: AA European Driver’s Handbook

I’ve just reviewed The European Driver’s Handbook, published by The AA. It’s a useful guide that covers country-specific driving requirements in 42 countries. Although most of the information is available on the equivalent section of The AA’s website, it is useful to have in book format, especially if you are planning a multi-country tour.

The book also contains some other information you may find useful:

• Guide to European mountain passes, including details of minimum road width, gradient, hairpins and when they’re usually open/closed
• Useful phrases and signs translated in nine languages
• Details of the most popular ferry ports and advice for using the Channel Tunnel
