Around The World In A Fire Engine

I recently discovered the Follow That Fire Engine website, which is following the journey of a group of intrepid volunteers who are driving a fire engine around the world to raise money for charity.

The team are currently in China, having made it overland across Mongolia. The website has loads of good pictures and is well worth a look.

The FTFE fire engine is a 4×4 Mercedes-Benz fire engine – it’s not quite a motorhome, but the crew are camping and it certainly is a great overland adventure – and for a very good cause, too. The crew have raised more than £60,000 so far and it’s all going to three charities – Macmillan Cancer Support, The Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation and The Fire Fighters Charity.
